This agreement is entered into by Ascension, a sole proprietorship, operating under the brand name “Briefly AI” (also referred to as “Briefly,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

  • These summaries are for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or reliability.
  • We do not claim ownership of third-party content. Original copyrights belong to their respective owners.
  • Use discretion before relying on summarized or AI-generated content.

5. Payments, Subscriptions & Refunds

  • Payments, subscriptions, and billing are securely handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record.
  • By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Paddle to process payments on our behalf.
  • Taxes (e.g., VAT, GST, Sales Tax) are collected and remitted by Paddle as required by law.
  • Plans automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel or manage your subscription through your dashboard or Paddle’s customer portal.
  • Refunds are not guaranteed and are issued only where required by law or explicitly stated on our website.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All intellectual property in the Service (software, design, content, brand, features, and code) belongs to the parent company of Briefly AI (Ascension).
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, or resell any part of our Service.
  • You retain ownership of any user-generated content you upload but grant us a limited license to process and display it for providing the Service.

7. Data & Privacy

  • We collect and process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of information under applicable data-protection laws, including GDPR (EU), DPDPA (India), and CCPA (US) where applicable.
  • Payment information is processed securely by Paddle and is not stored on our servers.

8. Third-Party Content

  • Briefly AI may display or summarize links, media, and information from third-party sources.
  • We are not responsible for the legality, accuracy, or availability of such third-party content.
  • Inclusion of external links does not imply endorsement.

9. Marketing, Advertising & Cookies

  • We promote our Service using online advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Reddit, Quora, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • We use cookies, tracking pixels, and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, Reddit Pixel, TikTok Pixel) to measure performance and improve user experience.These tools may collect non-identifiable data like device type, IP address, and browsing behavior.
  • You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings.
  • We may engage in remarketing campaigns and show personalized ads based on your interactions with our website.
  • Marketing emails or newsletters are sent only to users who opt in, and you may unsubscribe at any time.

13. Limitation of Liability

  • Briefly AI and its affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service.
  • Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the Service.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Briefly AI, its affiliates, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or breach of these Terms.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access at any time for violations of these Terms or misuse of the Service.
Upon termination, your license to use the Service ceases immediately.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of India.
  • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
  • For international users, you agree that Indian law will apply, except where prohibited by local regulations.
